Indexable inserts with equal sides

For equal-sided, equal-angled and equal-sided, unequal-angled indexable inserts, the measurement for the side lenght is given in mm as the identification code. Figures are the comma affer not included. e.g, forthe side lenghts I = 16.5 mm

If a single-figure identification code is calculated for the size of the indexable inserts, a 0 is placed in front, e.g. with a side lenght of I = 9.525 mm (identification code 09)

Round Indexable Inserts

For round indexable inserts, the identification code is given as the diameter in mm.
Unequal-sided Indexable Inserts

For unequal-sided, equal-angled and unequal-sided. unequal-angled indexable inserts, the identification code is always given as the lenght of the primary cutting edge. i.e. the longest cutting edge. For these indexable inserts. the fourth symbol is always an 'X'.

The thickness of the indexable inserts in mm is given as the identification code. Figures after the comma are not included. If a single-figure identification code is calculated for the size of the indexable inserts, a 0 is placed in front, e.g. with a thickness of s = 3.18 mm (identification code 03)
